Several hours later...

The trail took some interesting twists and turns down capes and through blackberry thickets, across rickety foot bridges and almost into marshy ponds, before finally popping up at a much more welcoming trail and an OCT marker. We hopped on it without hesitation and it took us right back up to tbe trusty 101.
